Missio Dei GR

First off, I would like to say we are proud to announce that the blog is back on line. And with it, we can have another avenue of great dialogue about this, that or the other thing.

So just a quick review what’s going on with Missio Dei right now:

Book Club: come to Missio Dei on Sunday and you can get Searching for God Knows What for $10.00 and then meet a week from this Monday at The B.O.B.

Get a Whitecaps game ticket for $8.50 and don’t forget the beach afternoon on June 24th. (See the finger print for details.)

I was thinking about the idea of being connected to each other whether we like it or not from the topic of last Sunday. The thought of the week here is simply this: in what ways do you deal with sin once it has been recognized? We just learned what it means for a community to deal with sin in Missio Dei last week through the story of Joshua, but if we don’t know how to truly deal with sin then how are we able to get rid of it? So I am asking all of you, how do we deal with sin? How do you deal with sin, and how should we as a community deal with sin together?

One way that I myself deal with sin is to tell others. Not the whole world, but a few people that I trust to be honest with me. People that can call me out on it to allow myself to be more aware of it. To show me that it's noticeable, not just by myself, but by others as well. In some cases, this is enough. Being aware of it allows me to sometimes figure out situations I'm in that create a tendency to act a certain way for example.

In some cases, it's not. And for that, I'd also like some ideas of how to deal with it.

hey, I heard about the Whitecaps game thru the monthly magazine... and I haven't been to the college group in a long time, and I was wanting to go to the game, but I have no idea if I have to get tix thru you guys or if you are meeting at church or what. If you could comment me back on how I can get tix or who to contact or what not, that would be awesome! thanks!
