seasons of life
Seasons are always on the move and with each passing season a new chapter of life begins. Since the beginning of spring until the mid part of fall I continue to be joyous. However after that the cold will take over and winter will make its way into our lives. I know some love winter and for them that’s fine, but for me, I can't wait for the great lion to take back the land in Michigan and for spring to come once again. In our lives we have different seasons that have very little to do with the weather outside. As a community we are to love one another, be there to lift each other when we are down, and celebrate with each other when there is cause for celebration. Where are you in your seasons of life? Let us as a community come around and embrace the good and bad in your life.
So here is what I want us to do this week (time permitting).
Find a trusted friend or member of the community. Go out and have breakfast, lunch, dinner or desert with them. Be open and honest about your life and share the season of life your in right now. Let’s embrace the community that we have and lets be the kind of community we were made for. Feel free to drop a comment on your thoughts or experiences.

speaking of Community... I've uploaded pictures that I took the other night at the beach to my flickr page

check 'em out and feel free to make comments and add notes... I've already started!
Nate,
Nice pics bro, they turned out great, that was a fun night... I hope I am able to get out the swing nite at the beach in a couple of weeks, we'll see. Any chance that you have found a free web host that takes pics and leaves them in their original resolution? When I view the slideshow the pics are a lot sharper but when you click on them individually they are much more pixelated than they should be (looks like a 1-2mg pic not a 6-8mg pic). Just curious...
Toran
Thanks Toran!
I'll be able to host my own photos (at full resolution) on my own site, numstead.net (...coming soon...)
On that flickr page, above each image, there should be a magnifying glass icon that says "all sizes", but flickr will only let you post images up to 1200 pixels or so in the largest dimension.
Flickr is cool though, because of the community aspect. You can link to other peoples pages, join groups, add favorites, etc. And its really easy to use.
Also, I wasn't shooting pictures at the full 8MP that my camera is capable of, mostly becuase I don't have a big enough memory card. My birthday is coming up though... ;)
If you, or anyone else, want the originals just let me know.
I think I am learning more and more about how life doesn't always go smoothly and that that's ok.
There are times that are tough and hard to pull through. And these moments really do strengthen you.
For me, it has been an interesting summer. I have really just been seeking God for answers to the questions that I have. I feel like I just really haven't got many answers. So I feel like Abram in between the path of wilderness and promise. Most of you know that I struggle with Depression. It is hard for me to be joyful. I tend to isolate myself from people when I am feeling depressed for fear of what they are going to think and of talking about it.
Just pray that God would show me how to cope and deal with the depression.
Heather :)
